Oysters and bubbles in Zeleste’s courtyard
Every Friday we open the oyster bar and pour the first glass while the week is allowed to end slowly. In summer the tables and the oyster bar stand in the cobbled courtyard, tucked away between the old buildings of Nyhavn. When it gets cooler, we move inside to candlelight in our oldest townhouse from 1664.
The oysters are opened as you go, while you sit, and served with lemon and mignonette. If you want to make a little more of it, top them with caviar.
There are no tickets and no programme. You choose your first serving when you book and order more along the way, for exactly as long as you like.
Oyster Hour has become a Friday tradition for many Copenhageners: colleagues celebrating the end of the week, friends meeting up, or two people starting the evening together.
What to look forward to
OYSTERS
Amulet oysters from the French grower Boutrais: 5 for 100,- · 10 for 200,-. The first serving is chosen when you book, and more can be added as you go.
CAVIAR
Bavierii caviar as topping: 15,- per oyster.
CHAMPAGNE
Michel Gonet, Cuvée 69, Blanc de Noirs: 95,- per glass · 475,- per bottle.
WHEN
Every Friday, 2.30 to 4.30 pm. In the courtyard in summer, inside in the cold months.
BOOKING
Tables are booked in advance. If you want to stay and eat afterwards, book a table for that at the same time.

Amulet oysters and champagne from Michel Gonet
Our Amulet oysters are grown by the Boutrais family in France. The Amulet is known for its fullness and its round, rich flavour: a luxury oyster that can carry a glass with character. That is why we pour Michel Gonet, Cuvée 69, Blanc de Noirs with them: a family house with seven generations of history in Champagne and a style with enough body for the saltiness of the sea.
Oysters taste best in the months with an r, from September to April, when they are firmest. But Oyster Hour is a Friday tradition all year round, and we choose the best oysters the season has to offer.
