Cake table at Nyhavns Færgekro
Every other Sunday we lay the cake table on the first floor overlooking Nyhavn. At least ten different cakes are ready, and we top up all afternoon. Some are standing favourites, others the kitchen comes up with along the way.
The cake table works as a buffet, so you come and go as you please. Some start with their favourites, others do a tasting round first. There are no set servings and no order. You set the pace.
Coffee from a cafetière, tea and hot chocolate are included, and we keep topping up for as long as you sit. If you want to make a little more of the Sunday, you can add a glass of bubbles to the cakes.
It is an afternoon without a programme to keep up with. Children are more than welcome. There is hot chocolate ready for them.
Booking is necessary, because the cake table fills up.

190,- per adult · 95,- per child. Free access to the cake table plus coffee from a cafetière, tea and hot chocolate.

At least ten different home-baked cakes, among them old-fashioned apple trifle, dream cake, lemon tart, chocolate mousse, cheesecake, profiteroles, macarons and Christianshavner cake.

Our head chef makes sure there are always at least ten kinds on the table. The selection ranges from the classics everyone knows, old-fashioned apple trifle, dream cake, lemon tart and chocolate cake, to lighter, more modern cakes like cheesecake with passion fruit, profiteroles and macarons. The Christianshavner cake rarely misses a Sunday.
The cakes change from time to time, so it is never the same table two Sundays in a row. What they share is that they start from flavours we know and love, and that they are baked in our own kitchen.
